Bradford Real Estate was tapped by the long-time owner of 415 Quincy Street to undertake a substantial whole house expansion and renovation. Bradford Real Estate Design Build brought together an architect and designer to explore ways to maximize the property potential. The house was divided into 2 enormous 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom duplexes with privately screened parking, multi-level decks and a roof deck. The property was reduced to its structural brick cladding, with all new interior features being installed. Energy efficient heating and cooling system and progressive insulation were introduced, along with high tech wiring for cable, internet, intercom and sound. While the two units exhibit some unifying themes in color palette and material consistency, they also afforded the owner an opportunity to explore different styles in kitchen designs, with one featuring cool grey with walnut colored cabinets and the second white and pecan colored. A unifying super white Quartzite was installed on the kitchen cabinets and the bathrooms were clad in Marble. The project was completed on schedule.
